Where to eat

Where to eat while cycling the Loire?

-

Find a restaurant or picnic area, buy something to eat or take a break in a café. In other words, you need to find out where to eat while cycling the Loire?

Take a break, comfortably seated on the terrace of a restaurant to eat a Jargeau andouille or a Loire friture. You’ll enjoy the peace and quiet of Jargeau’s pedestrianised town centre and the shade of the terraces. There’s always plenty of space to park your bike safely.

Buy your meal in the food shops. Take the Loire by Bike route into the town centres. Bakers, pork butchers and other food traders will sell you their specialities and local produce, as well as sandwiches and pastries.

Then all you have to do is find a shaded picnic area to eat and enjoy your purchases. We recommend the Fer à Cheval picnic area in Ouvrouer-les-Champs, where you can admire the Loire. You’ll need to bring your picnic with you to Châteauneuf-sur-Loire or Jargeau, as there are no shops here.

Stop off for a coffee break in the bars and cafés.
